Pennsylvania Medicaid To Expand Health Home Pilot Program For Pregnant Women With Substance Abuse Disorders

During the first half of calendar year 2016, the Pennsylvania Medicaid program is planning launch a new program designed to better coordinate care for pregnant women with substance abuse disorders. The initiative builds on a pilot program that started in 2014. In 2016, the state plans to expand the program to 20 sites across the state that have a high volume of labor and delivery patients. The goal of the program is to improve the health of mothers and improve the birth outcomes of newborns.
