Pennsylvania Replaces $10,000 Lifetime Assistive Technology Cap With $3,000 Annual Limit In I/DD Waivers
A recent policy change to Pennsylvania’s Consolidated, Community Living (CL), or Person/Family Directed Support (P/FDS) waivers for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities removes a lifetime $10,000 limit on assistive technology. In the Consolidated Waiver it was replaced by an annual $3,000 limit.
The Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) said the shift to an annual limit is intended to allow participants to access assistive technology as needs change over time, rather than being constrained by a one-time lifetime cap.
