Pennsylvania To Launch Loan Program For Provider Organizations To Transition To Medicaid Managed Long-Term Care

On February 4, 2016, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced that the Departments of Human Services (DHS), Aging (PDA), and Community and Economic Development (DCED) were preparing to launch the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Loan Program in July 2016. The state plans to extend loans to long-term care provider organizations to help them transition to a Medicaid managed care model after the state launches a new Medicaid managed care long-term services and supports (LTSS) program called Community HealthChoices.
