People In Residential SUD Treatment Receiving Comprehensive Dental Care Have Higher Treatment Completion Rates
Comprehensive dental care for people receiving residential treatment for substance use disorder (SUD) is linked to higher SUD treatment completion rates and better long-term outcomes, according to a recent study. Participants who received dental care during SUD treatment remained in treatment longer than those who did not receive dental care, had greater improvements in abstinence rates and in employment, and gained greater reductions in homelessness, the study found.
