Philadelphia FIGHT Opens Health Clinic For Ex-Offenders

On August 11, 2014, Philadelphia FIGHT opened a specialized health clinic focused on the needs of ex-offenders released from jail or prison. The clinic is part of Philadelphia FIGHT’s John Bell Health Center, which is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). In addition to primary care services, the John Bell Health Center plans to offers onsite mental health and addiction treatment services rendered by licensed behavioral health therapists. Philadelphia FIGHT projects that the clinic will serve about 50 patients each week, and up to 1,500 during the first year.
