Physical Activity Results In A 23% Lower Risk Of Cardiovascular Disease
Over a ten-year period, Mass General Brigham Biobank (biobank) participants who met recommended levels of physical activity had a 23% lower risk of cardiovascular disease than those that did not meet the recommended levels of physical activity. The protective effects were even more pronounced in individuals with preexisting depression, decreasing their risk of cardiovascular disease by 45%.
