Physicians in New York and Indiana will add the new five-minute "5-Cog Screening" tool for Alzheimer’s disease to their standard examination process workflow. The new screening tool was designed for people from a range of racial and ethnic backgrounds, education levels and socioeconomic circumstances. The tool is intended to reduce disparities in pre-dementia and dementia diagnosis and treatment, as well as improving dementia care overall.
