Polk County Florida Launches New Telemental Health Program For Low-Income Uninsured Residents
The Polk County, Florida, Health and Human Services Division recently launched a new telehealth program that provides behavioral health services to uninsured and under-insured county residents with income at 200% or less of the federal poverty level (FPL). The services are provided by IMPOWER under a three-year, fee-for-service contract awarded on January 9, 2018. The contract is valued at up to $2 million for the initial three-year term. Two additional one-year renewals are available. IMPOWER agreed to serve up to 377 people annually through the contract.
