Presidential Executive Order Issued To Expand Mental Health Care For Veterans
A Presidential executive order was signed on January 9, 2018, with the intent of expanding mental health care for veterans transitioning from the military to civilian life, and to provide support that will help reduce suicide risk for veterans. The order is set to take effect on March 9, and will provide all new veterans with mental health care and suicide prevention resources for one year after they leave military service.
