Professionals Serving Individuals With I/DD Have Gaps In Knowledge About I/DD & Co-Occurring Mental Health Disorders
A recent research study by The Arc of the United States (The Arc) found that professionals serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) had five major gaps in professional knowledge about I/DD and co-occurring mental health disorders. Specifically, the researchers identified the following five gaps:
