Rent Exceeded One-Third Of Wages In 76.9% Of U.S. Counties Analyzed
Rent for a three-bedroom property costs more than one-third of typical residents' wages in 76.9% of 364 counties analyzed, according to a recent report. The percentage of counties in each region where rent costs exceeded one-third of average wages ranged from 40.7% of counties in the Midwest to 77.7% of counties in the South, 90.7% of counties in the Northeast, and 95.4% of counties in the West.
