Retention Rate For Mobile Addiction Treatment Equivalent To Office-Based Treatment
The three-month opioid treatment retention rate for a rural telemedicine mobile treatment unit (TM-MTU) plus buprenorphine, run by Maryland's Caroline County Health Department (CCHD), was found to be equivalent to the retention rate for office-based treatment. The three-month retention rate for the MTU was 58.51%. The retention rate for similar office-based treatment was 58.47%.
Consumers served by the TM-MTU were engaged in treatment for an average of 112.24 days. Opioid use for those in TM-MTU dropped by about 32.8% from baseline. The researchers said the drop was equivalent . . .
