A researcher for the Urban Congress on African American Males in Baton Rouge is recommending a statewide expansion of Louisiana's pilot prison reentry program, the 100-Hour Reentry Pre-Release Program based on interviews with participants. The program provides each participant with 100 hours of classroom instruction on a variety of reentry topics, including communication skills, health and wellness, addiction, relapse prevention, employment, and housing.
