San Diego County Awards $12 Million, Early Psychosis Intervention Contract To Providence Community Services

On July 1, 2014, the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), Behavioral Health Division (BHD) awarded Providence Community Services (PCS) a seven-year contract valued at $12.4 million to provide an early psychosis intervention and prevention program (EPIPP). The program, called Kickstart, serves youth and young adults between the ages of 10 and 25 who are experiencing prodromal symptoms of psychosis. The initial contract period runs through June 30, 2015, followed by six one-year option periods through June 30, 2021 and an optional 1-6 months if needed at the end of the contract term . . .
