San Diego County Awards $4.6 Million For Peer Support To NAMI San Diego
On August 1, 2019, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) San Diego launched a $4.67 million contract with the San Diego County Department of Behavioral Health Services to provide a culturally-competent, recovery-focused peer assisted support services program. The services are for adults with serious mental illness (SMI) who are not connected to county-operated or contracted behavioral health services, and who present at Behavioral Health Units or Crisis Residential Programs in the county’s central region.
