San Diego County, California Awards $9 Million In Contracts To Expand Mobile In-Home Outreach Team Services
The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) awarded $9 million for two contracts to expand mobile in-home outreach team (IHOT) services countywide; the contracts were awarded to Mental Health Systems and to Telecare. For the IHOT program, mobile teams provide in-home outreach and engagement services to adults age 18 and older with severe mental illness (SMI) who are reluctant to seek outpatient mental health services and to their family members or caretakers. Each contract is valued at $1.36 million annually. The contract period runs from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2021.
