San Francisco Helps Those Living In Large Vehicles Move Into Permanent Housing Faster With ‘Unit Hold’ Program
The Large Vehicle Rapid Rehousing program helps adults and families currently living in large vehicles, such as recreational vehicles (RVs), vans, or trailers, transition into permanent housing by providing time-limited rental assistance (up to 24 months) and ongoing case management to help households stabilize, raise income, and maintain housing once assistance ends. It is part of San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie’s Breaking the Cycle plan that is intended to help hundreds of families living in vehicles access stable housing.
