San Francisco Seeks A Stay In Lawsuit Challenging Sweeps To Remove Homeless People From Streets
On January 18, 2024, the City Attorney of San Francisco filed a motion for a stay in a lawsuit to prevent the city from enforcing its laws prohibiting sitting, lying, sleeping, and lodging on public property against “involuntarily homeless individuals” if a specific offer of shelter is not made.
