Senior Living & Home Care Add Jobs, While Positions In Nursing Homes Decline
As of the end of August 2024, continuing care retirement communities and assisted living communities collectively added 3,300 jobs, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The home health sector increased by 5,500 new jobs. However, job decreases occurred in both nursing homes (-2,600 jobs) and other residential care facilities (-3,600 jobs).
