Senior Living Occupancy Rate Increased To 88.7% In The Third Quarter Of 2025
The national occupancy rate for senior living properties for the third quarter of 2025 was 88.7%, which was an increase of 70 basis points from the previous quarter, according to the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC). For independent living properties, the average occupancy grew to 90.2% in the third quarter, an increase of 50 basis points. The average occupancy for nursing care properties stayed the same for the third quarter, at 86.3%.
