Seven More States Approved For Medicaid Corrections Reentry Services
During July 2024, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved seven states for demonstrations that will allow them to provide Medicaid covered services to Medicaid-eligible inmates prior to release to the community. The seven states are Illinois, Kentucky, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Vermont. CMS previously approved similar programs in four states: California, Massachusetts, Montana, and Washington.
