South Carolina Medicaid is planning to implement a new approach for delivering family planning services. The new approach is a model called “preconception care” (PCC) and will serve female and male beneficiaries. The PCC model will include traditional family planning services, additional ambulatory care services, and a broader pharmacy benefit that provides for treatment of select chronic diseases, which includes addiction screening and treatment.
