South Carolina Medicaid received approval from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to temporarily raise home- and community-based services (HCBS) reimbursement rates. The approval, announced on March 29, 2022, allows the state to amend multiple Medicaid HCBS waivers to include Emergency Preparedness and Response Appendix K.
