South Carolina Seeks Accelerated Admission To Community Psychiatric Facilities For Youth With Serious Mental Illness
The South Carolina Department of Mental Health (SCDMH) seeks one or more contractors to ensure that youth in the juvenile justice system who have serious mental illness (SMI) are promptly transferred to a community-based Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF) within 90 days. The selected contractor(s) will expedite transfers and will guarantee and secure priority access to existing community based PRTF beds in the state for youth committed to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (SCDJJ).
