Students Sue Yale University, Alleging Discriminatory Policies For Mental Health Disabilities

On November 30, 2022, a group of current students and the advocacy group Elis for Rachel through Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law sued Yale University and its governing body, alleging “systemic discrimination against students with mental health disabilities. The plaintiffs allege that the university’s policies reflect systemic –and illegal—discrimination that has affected hundreds of current students who could be potential plaintiffs.
