Traumatic brain injury (TBI) in adults aged 65 years or older was associated with a 25% higher cognitive impairment risk, while seizures were linked to a 40% higher cognitive impairment risk. Both seizures and TBI together were associated with a 57% higher risk of cognitive impairment over time.
