Telehealth Therapy Is Effective For Children With Autism
In a recent small study, children (aged 4 to 16 years) with autism who received applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment via telehealth during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency continued to increase their skill acquisition in all targeted skill domains. All but one of the participants had received in-person services prior to the COVID-19 emergency. For each participant, progress and skill mastery were compared to the participant’s baseline.
