Tennessee Proposes To Integrate I/DD Services Into Medicaid Managed Care
On March 15, 2021, the State of Tennessee submitted an amendment to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) proposing to integrate long-term services and supports (LTSS): HCBS provided through 3 Section 1915(c) HCBS waivers and Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) services into the state’s existing TennCare managed care service delivery system. Additionally, the state proposes to transition children receiving supplemental security income (SSI) benefits to the TennCare Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs), assign inmates of public institutions to TennCare Select, and make technical clarification to the Employment and Community First . . .
