Tennessee Exploring Case Management Options At Transitional Residential Programs For Foster Care Youth
The Tennessee Department of Children’s Services (DCS) intends to enhance supervision and programming for children and youth staying in temporary placement locations by asking for proposals on case management services. The services would be for youth housed at the state’s transitional residential programs, which are temporary placements for youth waiting for placement with a foster family.
Currently, DCS staff are providing supervision, support and programming for these children and youth in addition to their regular job duties. However, DCS believes that the children’s needs in these temporary settings could be better met by a contracted entity.
