Texas To Cut Medicaid Therapy Rates For Children With Developmental Disabilities
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), which administers the state's Medicaid program, is proposing to reduce rates by at least 20% for outpatient speech, physical, and occupational therapy services for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. The proposal calls for implementing the new rates by October 1, 2015. Services for about 60,000 children with severe disabilities will be affected.
