Texas DFPS Awards Three Community-Based Care Contracts For Child Welfare

On April 3, 2025, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) announced awards to two organizations for its next three Community-Based Care regional child welfare contracts for single source continuum contractors (SSCCs). The DFPS Office of Community-Based Care Transition (OCBCT) selected DePelchin Children’s Center as the SSCC for the Harris County and the Montgomery/Gulf Coast catchment areas (Regions 6a and 6b).
