Texas DFPS Proposes Expanding Community-Based Care To Four More Catchment Areas In Fiscal Year 2022
The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is planning to expand its community-based care (CBC) model for foster care services to four new catchment areas: DFPS Regions 3e, 4, 5, and 9. These are the regions of the state that include the cities of Arlington, Tyler, Beaumont, and Midland. DFPS requested funding for the expansion in its legislative appropriations request.
