On August 3, 2018, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) awarded a community-based care contract in Bexar County to Family Tapestry, a division of The Children’s Shelter. The contract is slated to run for 60 months, followed by one additional 60-month term. Bexar County includes the City of San Antonio.
