Texas Launches Medicaid Dual Eligible Financial Alignment Initiative
On April 1, 2015, Texas Medicaid began passive enrollment for a dual eligible financial alignment initiative in six demonstration counties: Bexar, Dallas, El Paso, Harris, Hidalgo, and Tarrant. Across the six counties, more than 150,000 adults over the age of 21 years old with disabilities who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid in the six counties will be enrolled in one of the STAR+PLUS Medicare Medicaid managed care plans selected to serve the county.
