Texas Medicaid Implements Policy Including Applied Behavior Analysis For Children With Autism

On February 1, 2022, the Texas Medicaid program implemented a new Medicaid Autism services policy that includes applied behavior analysis (ABA) services for children diagnosed with autism. The services may be available for Medicaid beneficiaries age 20 and younger diagnosed with autism or having had a reassessment of the diagnosis within the last three years and who meet specific criteria.
