Texas Medicaid To Pilot Managed Long-Term Services & Supports For Adults With I/DD

The Texas Medicaid program is preparing to pilot managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) provided for adult beneficiaries with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) enrolled in one of three home- and community-based services (HCBS) waivers. The two-year pilot program is slated to begin by September 1, 2017; it will provide participants with MLTSS coordinated with acute care services.

To begin the process, on January 3, 2017, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHS) released a request for proposals (RFP # 529-16-0108B) seeking proposals from Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) and private service provider organizations . . .
