On November 27, 2020, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) announced the intent to submit to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) a "fast track" extension application Texas Healthcare Transformation and Quality Improvement Program (THTQIP) waiver under section 1115 of the Social Security Act. The extension would run from the current waiver's expiration date of September 2022 through to September 30, 2027. No information is available regarding the anticipated submission date to CMS.
