Texas Workforce Commission Piloting $1.5 Million Foster Youth Dropout Recovery Program, Issues RFP
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is planning to launch a $1.5 million pilot program focused on improving graduation rates and job training among current and former youth in foster care who are ages 16 to 25. On February 10, 2017, the TWC released a request for proposals (RFP 320-17-08) that explained the goals and the timeline. The funding will be used to create at least three 18- to 24-month high school completion pilot programs for current and former foster youth.
