Three Delaware Juvenile Justice Reforms Become Law
On October 12, 2017, three Delaware juvenile justice reforms were signed into law. The three reforms cover youths' rights and privacy, and expand eligibility for Delaware's existing Juvenile Offender Civil Citation Program.

Delaware House Bill 6 acts much like Miranda law for juveniles, and ensures that juveniles understand their rights to legal representation. Counsel cannot be approved until an attorney has explained the defendant's rights. It codifies a juvenile’s right to counsel in Family Court delinquency proceedings as well as describing the process by which he or she can waive the right . . .
