Three Illinois Nursing Homes Challenge Certificates Of Need Granted To Transitional Care Management For Two Short-Term Rehabilitation Facilities

After the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board (HFSRB) granted certificates of need (CON) in May 2016 to Transitional Care Management to open two new short-term rehabilitation facilities in the western suburbs of Chicago, three established nursing homes in the same area sued. The HFSRB approved Transitional Care Management’s plans to build a 68-bed facility in Lisle and a 68-bed facility in Aurora.
