Tufts University & Kaiser Permanente Launch Food Is Medicine National Network Of Excellence
On January 31, 2025, the Food is Medicine Institute at the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University and Kaiser Permanente launched the Food is Medicine National Network of Excellence (Network of Excellence). Its purpose is to establish best practices for implementing, evaluating, and integrating food-based interventions into care delivery practices within the health care system. Other founding members include Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, CVS Health, Devoted Health, Elevance Health, Geisinger, and Highmark Health.
