Type 1 Diabetes Antibody Screen Costing $55 Launches In United States
On December 8, 2020, JDRF launched a $55 blood test in the United States that screens for autoantibodies associated with type 1 diabetes. The test is part of a mass screening initiative called T1Detect launched by JDRF, which funds global research on type 1 diabetes. The initiative is intended to simplify early detection of type 1 diabetes by providing at-home testing and financial assistance for those unable to afford the $55 cost of the test kit.
