Over the next decade, health spending in the United States is projected to rise by 5.6% per year between 2023 and 2032. Medicare spending is projected to rise by 7.4% per year, and enrollment is projected to increase by an average of 2.0% per year. Medicaid spending is projected to increase by 5.2% per year, and enrollment is expected to decline by 0.6% per year.
