UnitedHealth Acquiring Four Clinics Through Its Purchase Of Peoples Health

On June 25, 2018, UnitedHealthcare announced an agreement to acquire Peoples Health, a Louisiana-based Medicare Advantage organization. The agreement includes four health clinics operated by Peoples Health. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. After the acquisition closes, Peoples Health's leadership will remain in place.

Peoples Health was founded in 1994. It has about 63,000 policyholders across the state. The acquisition, according to a notice posted by the Federal Trade Commission on August 3, 2018, includes New Orleans Regional Physician Hospital Organization, Inc. and Capital City Medical Group, LLC.
