UnitedHealthcare Launches Bundled Payments For Maternity Care

On May 9, 2019, UnitedHealthcare launched a new bundled payment for maternity care for expectant mothers enrolled in UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored health plans. The program is live in New Jersey and Texas with Lifeline Medical Associates in New Jersey and Privia Medical Group – Gulf Coast in Texas. UnitedHealthcare intends to expand the program with up to 20 more provider organizations by December 2019.
