On October 18, 2021, UnitedHealthcare announced NavigateNOW, a new virtual-first employer-sponsored plan being sold in nine markets (in eight states) for the 2022 plan year. NavigateNOW is supported by Optum’s new virtual care platform and virtual medical group. The plan is designed to provide comprehensive medical care by integrating virtual and in-person care for wellness, routine, chronic condition management, urgent care, and behavioral health services. The premium is set at about 15% lower than a traditional benefit plan.
