Universal Health Services To Acquire Foundations Recovery Network For $350 Million

On September 18, 2015, Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) announced plans to acquire Foundations Recovery Network, LLC (Foundations), an addiction treatment provider organization for approximately $350 million. UHS plans to use the Foundations acquisition and direct-to-consumer marketing model as a platform for growth in a new UHS substance use disorder service line. UHS is acquiring 322 residential beds in four facilities and eight outpatient centers, with more than 140 more beds in the expansion pipeline.
