University Of Nebraska Settlement Allows Students With Mental Health Disorders To Have Therapy Dogs In Campus Housing

University of Nebraska students diagnosed with psychological disorders will be allowed to have therapy animals with them in campus housing under a September 3, 2015 proposed settlement between the university’s Kearney (UNK) campus and the United States Department of Justice (DOJ). The proposed settlement is the result of a civil rights lawsuit filed in 2011. The United States District Court for the District of Nebraska in Lincoln must still approve the settlement.
