VA Proposes Expanding Access To Telehealth
The Department of Veterans Affairs recently published a proposed rule that would eliminate copayments for all VA telehealth services and create a grant program to establish designated VA telehealth access points in non-VA facilities, particularly in rural and medically underserved communities.
The proposed grant program, called Accessing Telehealth through Local Area Stations (ATLAS), would provide funding to organizations —;including nonprofits and private businesses —;to create comfortable, private spaces where Veterans can access high-speed internet and the necessary technology to connect remotely with VA health care providers.
