Vermont Launches Telephonic Child Psychiatry Consultation Program
On June 21, 2022, the Vermont Department of Mental Health (DMH) launched the Vermont Child Psychiatry Access Program (VT-CPAP) to provide telephonic consultations to primary care professionals (PCPs) managing care for children with mental health disorders. Any PCPs in the state serving people age under age 21 can register for the program at no cost. The consultations will provide training and technical assistance to help PCPs with diagnosis, medication management, psychotherapy recommendations, and community-based referrals.
